The International Conference on the Theory of Information Retrieval (ICTIR) is the premier conference of theoretical information retrieval.

ICTIR 2024 will be held on July 13 in Washington D.C. (USA) and invites submissions with substantial and original research on the theoretical aspects of information retrieval or topics from neighboring fields with a strong and clear connection to information retrieval.
Co-Located with ACM SIGIR 2024
ICTIR`24 is co-located with SIGIR`24, unlike previous years, ICTIR`24 is held one day before the entire SIGIR`24 program.
This means that there is no overlap with SIGIR`24, thus attendance to ICTIR`24 does not compete with any of the SIGIR tutorials, workshops or main program.
ICTIR'24 takes place in the same venue as SIGIR`24: the Capital Hilton Hotel, see the following page for more information.
